Hand block printed by artisans in Rajasthan. Sourced and sold from the UK.

Sourced in Rajasthan

Every piece carries the hand
that printed it.

Our journey starts in Rajasthan, travelling through Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaipur, working directly with skilled artisans who hand block print, bind and stitch every piece. Because each one is printed by hand, no two are ever quite the same. Every notebook and journal carries its own pattern and small irregularities, and that is exactly the point.

The Collection

Eight blocks, one of each

Stock is genuinely limited. Most designs exist as a single piece or a small handful. The notebooks and journals are on Etsy now; the rest are not listed yet.

Why no two match

One of a kind, not by accident

Printed by hand

Each cover is stamped with carved wooden blocks, one press at a time. The registration shifts, the ink pools. That is the signature of the method.

Sourced, not mass produced

We work directly with artisan workshops in Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaipur, and bring back what we would keep ourselves.

Tree-free rag paper

The pages are sustainable art paper, made from recycled cotton rag rather than pulped wood. Soft, slightly textured, and a pleasure to write on.

The cloth

Look closely and you can see the block

Block printing is slow work. A carved teak block is inked, aligned by eye and pressed into the cloth, then lifted and moved along by a hand's width. Across a whole cover the pattern drifts a little. Held up to the light, you can read the rhythm of the printer's arm.

Where to buy

Buying happens on Etsy

Browsing here, buying there. Etsy handles the checkout, postage and buyer protection, so you can order with the same confidence as any Etsy purchase. The notebooks and journals are listed now; keychains, placemats and totes are still to come.
